If that was his father with Mrs Loretta King then he should have had the courage earlier to do the right thing by the NFL players. He should have known better. However, better late than never. It was not cool back then I guess, when u had all powerful Donald Trump breathing hate down your throat.

Losing money in capitalism can make people reconsider a nicer way of doing things . Opposing the Vietnam War have nothing to do with racism against black folks that has been forever in this country. It should not take George Floyd to have an "aha" moment and this is interview is straight BS as usual!! The Elder Maya Angelou said..."When people show you who they are believe them!!

I am appreciative that Roger had this conversation but white people have had the privilege to act like they do not know whats going in this country for far too long. As he said, killings like George Floyd has been going on for a long long time, so that means white people know exactly what has been happening and for years they have turned a blind eye. I hope white people will no longer be silent.

Colin K will not play in the NFL again because he is washed up. He was 1-11 his last season as a starter and he didn't want to re-sign with another team for "washed up QB" money. I wanted him to start again because I enjoyed laughing at him as he lost games. If he was Patrick Mahomes he could urinate on the flag and some team would give him a contract. See how that works?

I think when you have conversations with white people you’re being too nice you’re not getting down to the nitty-gritty . Like example when you met with the NFL person and that person saying they understand by having this conversation then why are you didn’t reinstate Colin Kaepernick .

On almost every one of Emmanuels’ videos there have been comments about the people he is interviewing being inauthentic or just doing it for PR. I think the only way we can achieve equality is not to push others down but to talk, learn, and educate. Lift up the oppressed and the oppressors! Lift up the oppressed by acknowledging their struggles, learn from our mistakes, and taking steps to correct them and be better. Lift up your oppressors by teaching and educating them. Have these conversations with them help them be better. It’s easy to be skeptical about people and the past has made us cautious, but this “cancel culture” mentality is toxic. It’s toxic because is promotes that people can’t change, that they can’t learn, and that they can become better people. That may be true with some but if it were true for everyone then there would be no hope, because everyone has made mistakes.

He knew all along why they were protesting. They looked at the market research and knew they'd lose more viewers than they gained if they supported the black players protesting. It was a purely financial decision, and very likely not his to make at all. However, if had any integrity he'd have spoken out in support of the players and accepted that it would end his career, because it would have. His father, evidently, had integrity and he does not.

Goodell has the power to give consequences to those that are discriminating and INTENTIONALLY NOT HIRING HIM. You can't show a picture of Coretta Scott and make everything you didn't do and still haven't done, go away. The worst thing you could do in these situations is nothing. That is what doing still. I know it clicked for me shortly after police shot and killed the man who blindly fired a taser in their general direction and I was trying to explain systemic racism to my white parents. I left quite a long and impassioned speech on Reddit about it. Long story short he opened my eyes to the black lives matter movement. He was a man facing injustices who just happened to have a platform to bring light to the situation. He did not disrespect the flag by remaining seated or acting a fool. He took a knee when everyone else was standing so that he could make a stand. He certainly no MLK Jr but he we will go down in the history books for the fight for racial equality.

It's "interesting" that so many people get their underwear in a knot over the flag, while those same people hypocritically and constantly violate what it represents it in some way or another; similar to huge numbers of so-called Christians. Let's see what pt. 2 is about.

This episode can be summed up with one sentence: Goodell is hoping that he doesn’t get cancelled by the woke folk and lose ticket sales or his job, so he’s capitulating to Acho in an attempt to show he’s woke. But there is more that must be said. Acho: “it’s not about the flag.” Oh really? Then why is the kneeling taking place at the precise moment when we are supposed to honor the flag? Stop trying to B.S. others. More importantly, stop trying to B.S. yourself. Goodell has no honor. Goodell has no integrity. His appearance in this video is strictly self-preservation. This video is further evidence of why the NFL has sold out to the woke folk and should be boycotted. Acho states that George Floyd was murdered. This statement shows he doesn’t care about due process. Acho has already decided that Chauvin is guilty. That makes him anti-American and a bad person. Goodell (8:28): “I never experienced domestic violence in my life.” Uhhhh…..WTF is he saying? Is he saying white people don’t experience domestic violence?

Emmanuel, having befriended the Vietnamese community, The Vietnamese are very vocal about, how did we come here when Americans really disliked the Vietnamese and many Asian groups and become very successful in America, in one, maybe two generations? They do not understand how that happened for them, and the black community for the most part has not been able to further their lives in 3 or 4 generations. I think this would be a good topic or conversation for one of the next episodes? I get what they are saying but can't really understand it either.

This does not come across as an uncomfortable conversation with a black man. It comes across as an interviewer asking scripted questions of a too-late apologist as a PR stunt. It doesn't matter what Goodell's background is. He's basically a politician working for thirty-two constituents (the NFL owners). He's not gonna mess up his money by getting fired because he said the owners were wrong for blackballing Kaepernick. But he can't ignore the situation, either. So he'll say JUST enough to say he said something.
